APC / Fees Policy

The journal follows a transparent publication fee policy. 

Current Article Processing Charge (APC)

The journal is not charging any Article Processing Charges (APCs) for manuscripts submitted on or before December 31, 2026.

During this period, authors from all countries and institutions can submit their manuscripts and publish free of charge.

Future APC Policy

If APCs are introduced in the future, they will apply only to manuscripts submitted after the announced effective date. Authors will be informed in advance before any charges are implemented. Any manuscript that has already been submitted and is under review, accepted, or in the publication process before the APC effective date will not be charged and will be published free of charge. 

Refund Policy

In future, APC is generally non-refundable after article publication. Refunds may be considered only in exceptional cases, such as duplicate payment or administrative error. 

Waivers and Discounts

When APCs are introduced, JIEI intends to offer waivers or discounts to eligible authors, particularly those from low- and middle-income countries and authors with limited research funding. Full details, eligibility criteria, and application procedures will be announced before the APC policy takes effect. 

No Submission Fee

The journal does not charge a manuscript submission fee.

No Review Fee

The journal does not charge authors for peer review.
